The UYC Maritime Foundation exists to strengthen the future of boating and sailing by expanding access, elevating skills, and deepening the community’s connection to life on the water. Its purpose is to promote excellence in power boating and sailing while fostering public interest, enjoyment, and understanding of maritime activities—especially throughout Lake Lanier and the surrounding region.

Through hands‑on instruction, youth and adult training programs, and the creation of meaningful on‑the‑water experiences, the Foundation opens pathways for people of all ages to learn, grow, and participate with confidence. From safety education and seamanship to cruises, races, and regattas, its programs build knowledge, character, and sportsmanship in ways that last a lifetime.

By providing education, scholarships, and essential support, the Foundation ensures that the traditions of boating and sailing continue to thrive.
